Trump’s Vice President:

Trump’s Vice President Contenders

The Vice President is not finalized yet, Donald Trump organized a Donor Retreat at Mar a Lago last week and invited almost 15 possible VP contenders. But the final name has not been announced, though Trump talked about the possible candidates one by one and called them on stage, but he has not picked anyone yet.

The strategy is to keep them busy on the campaign trail and get the most benefits from all including fundraising which is a bloodline of every political campaign.

Trump said during last week’s event, ‘This weekend, we had 15 people. They’re all out there campaigning, It might be more effective this way because, you know, every one of them thinks they could be chosen, which I guess possibly is so.

It looked like an episode of “The Apprentice” in real life where Trump chose and picked candidates after analyzing them. The same goes here Trump is analyzing and watching closely who can defend him better on TV, who is better in political rallies, and who can raise money for the campaign.

It looked like the final name came out after the Republican National Convention in July. As Newt Gingrich said, It is up to him to decide who his VP is and he will choose one after listening to all of them.

The Vice President for the Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump was going to announce at a Donor Retreat last week at Mar a Lago, Florida but no final name came out.

  1. Marco Rubio, Florida Senator
  2. Christi Noem, South Dakota Governor
  3. Doug Burgrum, North Dakota Governor
  4. Tim Scott, South Carolina Senator
  5. J. D. Vance, Ohio Senator
  6. Elise Stefanik, New York Rep.
  7. Byron Donalds, Florida Rep.

Marco Rubio could be a strong contender for his Hispanic background. The Hispanic population is the 2nd largest population in America after white even the black population is at number three. But there is a problem for Rubio, he lives in the same state Florida where Trump lives, which is against the 12th amendment of the Constitution.

Whereas, Christi Noem made the news after receiving heavy criticism and backlash on social media for her story of killing a 14-month-old dog 20 years ago, which made her path to final VP difficult. Trump praised Noem in one interview, so you can expect anything from him.

JD Vannce was a critic of Trump before he started supporting him, also he is a good friend of Donald John Trump Jr. the eldest son of Trump. So, he may get the benefit of friendship but not likely.

About Tim Scott, Trump himself said ‘he is a good surrogate than a Vice President candidate.’

Doug Burgrum of North Dakota seems a possible choice because of his billionaire status and his presence in all the events held by the Trump campaign. He is also a good speaker as well who can defend Trump on TV and media.

Trump however said, ‘VPs have never really helped in the election process, It’s a one-day story, it’s a big story, and then it’s back to work. People only want to know who’s No. 1 on the ticket.
